Dr. David J. K. Smith, Dentist

Dr. David Smith had some unpleasant experiences at the dentist when he was young. What inspired him to become a dentist was thinking that there must be a better way to experience going to the dentist. And did he ever prove that to be true! It is nearly impossible to be uncomfortable around Dr. Smith. With his friendly, easy going personality, Dr. Smith makes everyone feel like they are a part of his family, and he truly cares for everyone like they are family. We think the name 'Smith Family Dentistry' is appropriate!

Dr. Smith has been a dentist in St. Catharines for 36 years and joined practices with Dr. Ray Goodine and Dr. Bruce Milligan. Dr. Smith has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in chemistry from the University of Waterloo and attended the University of Western Ontario for his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). In addition, when he was in his forties, he went to Brock University for a degree in mathematics - just for the fun of it!

Dr. Judene Smith has wanted to be a dentist ever since she was a young girl. Her father, Dr. David Smith, would bring home little pink plastic dental mirrors that she would play with. She would tell everyone that she 'enjoyed working with teeth’, even though the only teeth she 'worked with' were her dolls! Now, Dr. Judene Smith is passionate about making people smile and loves the cosmetic aspects of dentistry. Dr. Judene has always liked helping people and helping the community and as such she started Smith Family Dentistry's yearly Christmas complimentary smile makeover, I'm Dreaming of a White Smile.

Dr. Judene Smith is very interested in 'health and wellness' and does extensive learning about the latest research in this field. She regularly attends continuing education courses on the newest technologies and topics in dentistry, including Invisalign, implant placement, and cosmetic procedures.

Dr. Judene Smith attended the University of Western Ontario for a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in biology and then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Detroit Mercy. She grew up in St. Catharines and attended high school at Holy Cross Secondary.

Dr. Judene lives in St. Catharines with her fiance, Andre, and their little furry baby, Cara (a Wheaten Terrier!). She enjoys hiking with Cara and reading a good book - in a hammock in the summer, or by a fireplace in the winter.

Dr. Judene likes a good laugh and enjoying the time with her patients. She feels incredibly lucky to be able to work with her family and thanks her wonderful family, dental team and patients for helping make her experience at Smith Family Dentistry special.
