"I was so incredibly afraid of the dentist that I put off seeing one for years, even though there were many obvious problems that needed to be addressed. I put myself through a lot of pain over the years and there was absolutely no need for it. I’m so happy that I finally made the commitment to bring back my beautiful, carefree smile and to no longer be embarrassed to open my mouth. All this, with no pain whatsoever, I am really kicking myself for not doing this years ago."

"Dear Judene and Assistant... I would like to thank you both for everything you have done for me. For the first time in a very long time I can actually smile and be proud of the way my smile looks. My family and friends say I never stop smiling and they are so happy for me. You know my fears and helped me with them. You guys did a fantastic job; I have so much confidence in myself now. So I would like to say Thank-You from the bottom of my heart, I will never forget the two of you."

"I first visited Dr. J. Smith in March of 2009. My smile at that time was non-existent. I had very few good teeth left, due to hereditary traits from both sides of my family. I had just lost my Mum the year before so smiling did not come easy then anyways, but even when I did I covered my mouth with my hand. I was having a heck of a time moving forward with life. I am a P.S.W. and have always worked with people directly, but over the years my teeth were getting worse to the point where I noticed I was being turned down for positions I know I was more than qualified for. I would watch the interviewers eyes drop to my mouth whenever I smiled, (apparently my smile did not pass the interview). By the time I saw Judene and Lauren I was feeling pretty down.
Well you should see me now, what a difference a few months make. I have such a small mouth I really expected a set of “Granny” looking dentures… NOT SO. Every one of my family and friends could not believe that my new teeth are dentures, they are still to this day complimenting me on my smile. IT IS BRILLIANT…
I plan on going back to school to up-grade to PRN. This is something I would not even have considered a year ago. My future is now as bright as my smile. This was the easiest decision I have made in a long time, due to the friendly and accommodating atmosphere the Smiths provide. They talked with me about all different routes we could take and together we made our final decision. By my second visit, Judene had set our plan in motion and I was completely overwhelmed that she had taken my future into consideration. There is no question that she helped change my life forever.
ALL MY THANKS AND APPRECIATION GOES TO THE SMITHS FAMILY DENTISTRY. Without them and the difference they have made in my life, I would not be moving in the direction that I am now.
My daughter has a saying, “LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH.” Now I can do all three without covering up the last. AGAIN, THANK YOU TO THE GREAT STAFF (and some new friends) AT THE SMITH FAMILY DENTISTRY."

"Regarding the Smith Family Dentistry, I would like to say many things; I have been coming here for years and I have needed much work done. Dr. David Smith looked after my teeth for most of those years. He did a great job saving as many teeth as he could, directed me to a great specialist when necessary. The whole time his interest in me, personally, was a real gift. Once he even drove to a drugstore himself to get me pain medication. He came in on a weekend more than once to make sure I was doing okay. I felt confident in him the entire time. He was upfront and honest and gave me the best advice, yet leaving some choices up to me. I always followed where he led. The entire staff here is unfailingly courteous and friendly and very flexible. They all make me feel at home. They always saw me as an individual. Dr. Daryl Smith has been for the last couple of years, saving my few remaining teeth with great interest. He is very nice to the patients and my family thinks a lot of him. His interest in me, as a person, showed clearly I wasn’t just a patient with problems, but an actual person who had other physical problems, which he took into account. He is up on the latest treatments and prevention, about which he feels deeply. He inspires confidence and is very professional, while remaining a ‘person’ himself. I used to hate going to the dentist but since I started with this clinic – not at all. Thank you, Dr. Smith, Dr. Smith and Dr. Smith and all staff."

"I first walked into Dr. David Smith’s reception area in the 1980’s. I was looking for a dentist, not having seen one since I was a kid. He took me on as a patient without hesitation. Over the years I have had many procedures done. From cavities being filled (unfortunately), to teeth being crowned, to my nine month cleanings. A year or so ago, I needed another crown. I mentioned to Dr. Smith that I would like to go with a gold one again, but this time I wanted a blue maple leaf embedded in it. He said he had never heard of such a thing. I told him it could be done, as I had seen it. He immediately got on the phone to that lab to check this out. Sure enough it could be done and Dr. Smith put the order in. I now have the gold crown with my beloved blue maple leaf. The funny part of this is that Dr. Smith insists that anyone and everyone in the place, when I am there, has to see this crown. Well almost everyone. I think it’s hilarious. I have without a doubt, been very lucky to have a dentist like Dr. David Smith for all my dental needs for the past many years. He is a sincere and caring dentist with a great sense of humour, and he will often share with you story or two.
Recently both his son and daughter have joined the team. Dr. Daryl and Dr. Judene, as they are affectionately called, are a chip off the old block. Very personable and genuinely nice people. I have had the pleasure of dealing with them both. Dr. Daryl has been seeing my son the last couple times he has needed some work done. This is where I found out about the numbing gel (topical anaesthesia). I had to Google that. Anyway like myself, my son Jacob is not fond of the needle. Dr. Daryl introduced us to this medical miracle, and our visits have been even better since. Just wondering why Dr. David Smith never used that on me. Guess he thinks I am tougher than I am.
Unbeknownst to me, I have been grinding my teeth in my sleep. This was doing some major damage to them. I recently went for my nine month cleaning. As I was talking to Patricia, she asked how things were going. I bluntly told her that I had had enough of looking in the mirror at the ugly yellow teeth I had. Why I never mentioned this to anyone before is beyond me. Well Patricia proceeded to tell me that without a doubt something could be done. She set up an appointment for me to see Dr. Judene. Dr. Judene greeted me that day as if she had known me for years. We had never met. As I said earlier, a very nice person and as I was to find out, a great dentist. I went ahead and sat in the chair. After taking a look at my teeth, getting some x-rays done, she did tell me that absolutely something could be done. We had earlier found out I was lucky enough to also the insurance to cover this. We set up another appointment. A couple weeks later, I was back in Dr. Judene’s chair to begin the transformation. I honestly do not know exactly everything that happened that day, but one thing I do know is Dr. Judene’s procedure to giving a needle is second to none. She does thankfully use the numbing gel to begin with. Then she begins to flap, sounds funny, the cheek and gums as she administers the needle. I swear to God, I did not feel a thing. Unbelievable. The work for that day got done and I was told to come back again the following week. Before I knew it, I was back in the chair. Dr. Judene greeted me again with the warmth and caring nature this family dentistry is famous for. It was a short visit this day, but time well spent. When I was handed the mirror to get a first look at what Dr. Judene had done, I was speechless. It was phenomenal. I honestly don’t ever remember having teeth like this. I can’t thank Dr. Judene enough. They are bold and they are bright. I now have a great smile, so I’ve been told. I can’t wait to get more work done soon.
From Drs. David, Daryl and Judene Smith, and their awesome assistants, to Sharon on down in the reception area, to Patricia and the other Dental Hygienists, this truly is a wonderful place to have any dental work done you may require."
